Construction: DBX decks consist of
3 layers of woven basalt yarn,
4 standard maple veneers (inner layers),
2 thin face veneers (outer layers)
and are hand-laid and precision-pressed in individual molds

Why basalt?
Basalt is a hardened volcanic stone – extremely strong and dimensionally stable. The basalt layers add a "backbone" to the classic maple, providing increased structural integrity, stiffness, and improved resonance.
