Working Class Ready to wear
Service Works was born thanks to founder Tom Chaundley's passion for cooking and good food.
Tom Chaundley grew up in a family-run restaurant and worked as a “chef” in the kitchen. Over time, Tom realized that no one was making pants like his Chef Pants that fit everyone and served their intended purpose in the kitchen - and that gave him the idea to create his own pants.
Like many others in the hospitality industry, Tom had to choose between poor quality disposable trousers at work and his own better quality clothing, which inevitably got dirty pretty quickly when working in the kitchen. Of course, thicker cotton or denim pants are usually too warm for the hot kitchen environment, which is why Tom wanted to create something that was in between these two options.
Et voilà! The Chef Pant was created - made from lightweight, kitchen-friendly polycotton, they are exactly what you should wear in and out of a busy restaurant.
The SERVICE WORKS trousers segment has now expanded to include the Waiter Pant and the Part Timer Pant, but the philosophy of comfortable and wearable work trousers has been retained.
