Field Notes has used a lot of French Paper over the years, but surprisingly this is the first use of Pop-Tone "Red Hot" paper. The notebooks also feature an almost blank cover with a Futura "50" peeking through a punched circle. Each 3-pack contains three different cover colors that recall a specific Quarterly Edition: Safety Orange from "Dime Novel‘, Nightshift Blue from ‘End Papers‘, and Gumdrop Green from ‘Grass Stain Green".
A lot of thought went into the creation of this set regarding the previous editions and what can be concluded from this anniversary. Field Notes made an attempt in its essay "Counting to Fifty" .
