Field Notes "Signs Of Spring" Notizheft

For this notebook, Field Notes wanted to produce something bright and warm, and to do that they focused on the cover. In Field Notes' opinion, the surface and structure of this paper are ideal for embossing and de-embossing. While they've experimented with this in the past, they've really pushed the boundaries here.

The covers are embossed throughout with three graphic patterns based on flowers that are among the first to appear each year in North American spring: the ghost flower (Mohavea confertiflora) in the Southwest, the Quaker Ladies (Houstonia caerulea) in the East, and the Contra Costa Goldfields (Lasthenia conjugens) in the San Francisco Bay Area. The envelopes were then hot-stamped with three lush, reflective short Luxor foils.

The dot graphic interior pages are, for the first time, made from Strathmore's Cambric 70# Text, a truly excellent paper. The subtle, linen-like texture gives it a lot of character and we think writers and artists will really love it.
