The 64th quarterly limited edition for Fall 2024 is the edition “The Birds and Trees of North America” featuring artwork by Rex Brasher (1869-1960).
Rex Brasher’s artistic talent, his love of nature, his technical know-how, and his persistence are an inspiring story that should be better known to anyone interested in birds, nature, or art. From a young age, Brasher had set out to visit all bird species of America in their natural habitats. He spent his entire life traveling, collecting notes and drawings, writing personal, insightful descriptions, and painting birds again and again.
Field Notes have carefully reproduced six of Brasher’s colorful illustrations on two 3-packs of Field Notes Ruled Memo Books. The covers are made from a beautiful 100#C Mohawk Via “Pure White” with felt texture, bound with three stainless steel staples. The notebooks are made from 60#T Domtar Lynx Opaque Ultra and lined with light gray lines.
