4 standard maple veneers (inner layers),
2 thin face veneers (outer layers)

Why basalt?
Basalt is a hardened volcanic stone – extremely strong and dimensionally stable. The basalt layers add a "backbone" to classic maple, providing increased structural integrity, stiffness, and improved resonance.
