      The DBX construction from Deluxe Distribution (used by brands like Anti Hero, Krooked, and Real Skateboards) is a modern high-performance deck construction with basalt fibers instead of just classic 7-ply wood. The basic principle: lighter, thinner, stronger, longer-lasting, fresher pop, more “snap” and rebound than regular standard decks.

      Basalt is a volcanic rock material, similar in use to fiberglass or carbon — but with a more natural flex feeling.
