The legendary printing house in Nashville was founded in 1879 by the Hatch brothers and remains the centerpiece of classic American poster design. Since the inception of Quarterly Editions, Fiedl Notes has wanted to collaborate with Hatch Show Print to explore the history of American printing, publishing, and design.

Hatch is known for his letterpress printed posters. For many years, the company has managed to combine its huge archive of historical images and writings in a way that always appears fresh and lively, but also timeless. Hatch makes large posters and Field Notes makes small notebooks. 

The covers are printed on white Domtar Cougar 100-pound paper and colored with a variety of hand-mixed Kennedy oil-based inks, including "Just About Pantone 637". The interior pages are light blue lined on a smooth 60-pound text paper from Finch.
