Author James Jebbia, Contributions by KAWS, Introduction by Glenn O'Brien and Aaron Bondaroff

In April 1994, Supreme opened its doors on Lafayette Street in downtown Manhattan and became the center of New York skate culture. Challenging the dominance of the established West Coast skate scene and the new conservatism of 1990s New York, Supreme defined the aesthetic of an era of rebellious cool that ranged from skaters to fashionistas and hip-hop fans.

Over the past 16 years, the brand has stayed true to its roots while collaborating with some of the most groundbreaking artists and designers of their generation. With stores in Los Angeles and Japan, she has become an international icon of independent, countercultural style.

This definitive monograph - with written contributions from Aaron Bondaroff and Glenn O'Brien, the two contrasting arbiters of style, and an interview between founder James Jebbia and artist KAWS - brings together the various elements of the brand's work, from iconic advertising campaigns to to specially commissioned skateboard designs, photography and artwork, and includes a comprehensive catalog of previous products.

Featuring collaborations with Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Damien Hirst, Public Enemy, Lou Reed and Futura 2000, among others, this richly illustrated book is a survey of sixteen years of contemporary street fashion and culture, pioneered by one of the most influential reflect independent New York labels.
